Week Two of Advent: The Bethlehem Candle
Greetings Christ Church Families!
For our second week of advent, we will:
1. light the (or make a paper) purple Bethlehem candle, read the verses provided, and sing two hymns.
Additionally, Seeds Family Worship has a Christmas album that makes memorizing some of the texts you will be reading and reflecting upon easy and fun:
2. Sometime during the week, have your family read “Jesus is the Savior for All People, from David’s City, the Christ!” taken from our Big Picture Family Devotional.
3. Lastly, have your kids make a crown ornament to hang on a Christmas tree or to be gifted.
In addition to these devotional times, consider how you as a family can praise the Lord for his faithfulness in fulfilling these promises and to worship him as King. Prepare to explain this amazing news to others.
