Dear Christ Church Families,
Our fourth Sunday of advent devotional reminds us to look out at a lost and needy world, to share the good news, and to warn of the coming judgment. On Christmas Eve, we will be reminded that we need to open our hearts to Christ and give him glory, honor, and love until he returns. We hope that these devotionals will help you rejoice even in the midst of weariness for the good news of the Savior’s birth. During this final week of advent, we will:
Light the (or make a paper) purple Shepherd candle, read the verses provided, and sing two hymns: O Come, All Ye Faithful and Go, Tell it on the Mountain
Light the (or make a paper) white candle, read the verses provided, and sing two hymns: I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light and Joy to the World
Lastly, as a family, circle around with candles to read about the light of the world and to sing Silent Night or other carols to worship the newborn king!
Merry Christmas to you.
